Greg Lawless joined ManpowerGroup (NYSE: MAN) as Senior Vice President of People & Culture for North America in November 2021. In this role, he provides leadership across all facets of the HR function for the businesses in the United States and Canada. Greg brings more than 30 years of people
and culture leadership experience, driving business outcomes through strong culture and organizational transformation.
Prior to joining ManpowerGroup, Greg was the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Akorn Pharmaceuticals in Lake Forest, IL, where he led human resources, including executive compensation and CEO succession, in addition to internal communications. During his tenure, the company moved from a publicly traded entity to a privately held firm.
Prior to Akorn, Greg held various leadership roles of increasing responsibility across multiple HR disciplines during his 25-year career in the consumer-packaged goods industry. Greg started his career with Altria, where he held several HR roles supporting the sales organization before moving to manufacturing, where he focused on labor relations and operations in Richmond, VA, Louisville, KY and Concord, NC. During his tenure, he served as the chief spokesperson for labor negotiations at facilities with as many as nine bargaining units and led the implementation of high-performing work teams. He continued his career with Kraft Foods, holding senior HR partner roles for global functions including Operations, IT & Shared Services, and Research & Development. In his last role at Kraft Heinz Company, he was the HR lead for operations globally.
Greg earned his degree in Economics and Government from Colby College. As first-time empty nesters, he and his wife, Charlotte, are the proud parents of three adult children (the youngest two are in college in Colorado, though at different schools), and they have a five-year-old corgi dog named Roxy. Greg enjoys traveling, hiking, fly fishing and is known to be a gearhead.
